The previous module looked at evaluating the initial search result. This module looks at the next step in your search strategy - refining your search.
Just to recap the process up until now, we have:
- Analysed our topic
- Did an initial search, and
- Evaluated the results of that search to see if we have enough relevant information
If you are satisfied with the results your search ends there. If you are not satisfied with what you have found on the first few pages, you will then need to refine your search. There are various ways in which you can do this:
- Manipulating (tweaking) your search terms, and
- Using the search options provided by the search engine.
